Courses are the new, structured way to study in Quizgecko. Instead of one-off Lessons, your quizzes, flashcards, notes, and podcasts will now be organized into a guided sequence of modules with built-in practice checkpoints and progress tracking, so you always know what to study next.
You’ll still generate content the same way — pasting text, uploading your files, or sharing a link — but now you get a clearer study path towards becoming exam-ready. XP is still awarded to you for completing the activities, rewarding completion and boosting your leaderboard placement to turn regular study sessions into visible momentum towards achieving your goals.

Lessons → Courses with modules
Built-in checkpoints for practice and review
Adaptive to short or long inputs
Works with all study modes (quizzes, flashcards, notes, podcasts)
What changed?
Before: You generated a Lesson and then separately played practice activities or reviewed the material.
Now: You generate a Course and Quizgecko's AI automatically creates modules out of your material and threads practice and review checkpoint quizzes and flashcards throughout, while keeping study modes you already know and love available to play. Activities within modules will show you how much content they contain, whether that's the number of questions in a quiz or reading time estimates for study notes.
The generation process and your plan limits stay exactly the same as before. With Courses, you simply get more value: extra study materials and a guided study path that makes your progress easy to follow.
Note: Courses aren’t on the iOS and Android apps yet, but they’ll roll out in the next couple of weeks.
Tip: Short input? You’ll get a compact Course (fewer modules). Long input? Expect multi-module depth.
FAQs
What are Courses?
Courses are structured study paths made of modules. Your quizzes, flashcards, notes, and checkpoints are organized so you can move from overview to exam-ready.
Can I still create Lessons?
Lessons are completely replaced and creating a Course will be the default.
Will I still be able to access Lessons I've already generated?
Yes, past Lessons will remain accessible, they'll just display a one module Courses.
Do I have to complete everything in order or can I skip between different modules within the Courses?
Yes. The guided path is recommended, but you can open any activity in a module or study mode at any time.
What study modes are available inside a Course?
Quizzes, flashcards, study notes, and chat. Use them within the guided study path to check your understanding of the content you've just learned or play separately to revise all of the content in the Course.
Will I still be able to collect XP?
You earn XP for completing any of the activities inside a Course. Your total XP contributes to your placement on the week's study leaderboard.
Can I share a Course?
Yes. Use the Share button on the Course page to copy a share link. Recipients can view the Course; their own activity/XP is tracked to their account.
Does this affect how I use Classes?
Instead of assigning Lessons, you'll simply assign a Course to your Class.
